Putzig v. Bresk, 183 So. 3d 1049 (Fla. 4th DCA 2015)
STATE APPEALS COURT ORDERS NEW HEARING BASED ON DUE PROCESS VIOLATION
Client represented herself in a domestic violence injunction hearing. The judge refused to allow her to call witnesses and ultimately ruled against her. She subsequently got a notice from the State of Florida that her concealed weapons permit was suspended due to the injunction entered against her. She hired Criminal Appeals attorney Richard Della Fera to appeal the case who argued that her due process rights were violated by the trial judge. Della Fera prevailed in getting the injunction overturned and obtaining a complete restoration of client’s Second Amendment rights.
